Adam McMillan and Elizabeth Hubbard are both final year students at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music Griffith University studying advanced performance. They met in 2008 as members of the multi-award winning Tagiev Youth Chamber Orchestra, where they performed as young soloists in China, Spain, Estonia and the USA, culminating in solo performances at Carnegie Hall, New York City in January 2009. They have since formed a successful cello and piano duo, where their spirited and passionate playing has touched many hearts. Their repertoire of elegant classical music is perfect for your wedding, business function, festival or special event.
Their CD, From our Hearts to Yours, released on the Master Performers Label in July 2011, is a beautiful collection of cello and piano favourites that aims to share their love and joy of music-making with others to raise awareness and funds for HeartKids Australia, an organisation that offers support, encouragement and hope to families of children with heart disease. Since the release of the CD, the duo has performed at many functions, concert halls, art galleries and other performance spaces and are well on the way to realising their goal of raising $20,000 for HeartKids over the next few years, pledging all profits from their performances and sales of their CD.
